The fortune teller knows it all!

The photographers were Manon F, Manon R and Alexiane.

The fortune-tellers were Bérénice, Alexiane, Anaïs,Valentin(Valentina?)and Mikael(Mikaela?), they were all very funny and the teacher loved their costumes and their sexy make up. The clients were often very strange and not so well-behaved! Some were drunk, some were very rude, some fainted and even died from the shock.Their costumes were also very good. Congratulation to the 'company'!

"Maison du Salève"

Hello Najime,

We spent one day in the Salève with 6ème3. We had great fun even though the weather was chilly in the morning( we had forgotten our jumpers and jackets!). We went for a long walk in the forest with Frederic who explained to us everything about trees and plants, insects and animals who live in the Salève. We met a farmer who had lost two calves and had been looking for them for days.
Then we had our picnic lunch outside the "Maison du Salève". In the afternoon we went to Chartreuse de Pomier but before that we played (a sort of) baseball then did a tug-a-war.

Hello Anne-Sophie. How are you?

Last Wednesday some pupils from 5e5 didn't do their homework. Hard luck!
Jordan phoned Kevin who was at his grand mother's and his diary being at home he couldn't help poor Jordan. Hard luck!
Saliha lost her diary so couldn't do her homework. She found it two days later. Hard luck!
Aloys did his homework but forgot it on his desk. Hard luck!
Nobody told Alexandre there were exercises to do. Hard luck!
Do you think the English teacher believed them???

PS:Jürgen is a funny gardener: he planted cherries! Cherries???

That's a Scottish midge!

Culicoides Impunctatus, to give them their latin name, are native to the Highlands, although similar beasties are found all over the world (probably having travelled there under the kilts of Scottish soldiers)

Only one kind of midge bites... either the male or the female... can you guess which one?

Can you read our names Agon?

Do you know why there are green, white and orange balloons? On 17th March it was St Patrick's Day! It was the National day in Ireland. The teacher gave us tattoos with shamrocks, flags of Ireland and Leprechauns.

Duncan gives you the answer!

I'll give you the answer in a song:

"The Lord put the Garden of Eden on Earth, And it’s north of the Tweed we believe. Aye, Scotland’s the place where the whole human race started off - with McAdam and Eve! In 6 days or under, God finished his wonders (except for the Forth and Tay bridges) Then always a bloke for a practical joke He made Scotland the home of .... the midges''!!!!

What Scotland represents for us!

The pupils from 5e1+2 and 5e5 have drawn what Scotland represents for them and their friends and 4èmes have chosen the 10 drawings they liked best out of 50.

Celtic Connections in Glasgow.

Celtic Connections is a huge annual music festival that takes place in Glasgow. The majority of the music is traditional with many other influences (world, jazz, reggae to name but a few!) and this year there are performances from artists from over 20 countries.
This year is also particularly special as the festival is celebrating the 250th birthday of Scotland’s most famous poet, Robert Burns.
Celtic connections is also celebrating Homecoming Scotland, which recognises all the major contributions Scotland has in many fields (sport, science and technology etc). Bands that I am particularly looking forward to hearing this year are La Bottine Souriante and Catriona Mackay (a very talented harper). My cousin is playing the fiddle in the band Salsa Celtica and I’m sure that will be a gig to remember!! With very cheap flights to Glasgow from France it is easy to come and enjoy the festival and hopefully in the future you will all have the chance to come across also!!
